Most of the contestants in the "Rising Star" competition and Pamela auditioned for the "National Anthem" tryouts for the Curve minor Baseball league. Only Pamela was chosen to sing for the Curve. The “Rising Star” as a group was chosen so Pamela will be singing at the Curve twice. Pamela will be singing on July 23. The date for the group will be July 4th. *Posted on 24-02-09 at 08:58 am*


Pamela Townsend sang her heart out for the Lord at the Rising Star Competition. She had made it through the first five round and was singing on the sixth round, which was Elvis Presley week. One could sing any song that Elvis sang in any genre. Pamela originally bought the track "Swing Down, Sweet Chariot" to do for the Elvis theme, but then thought of changing it to "Precious Lord Take my Hand" sung a cappella or with her guitar. She finale decided on "How Great Thou Art" with Sandi Patty's arrangement. The judge that is the one holding the competition is also an Elvis impersonator and sang several Elvis songs. Pamela sang part of "O Sole Mio" (which is an Italian song that Elvis does in English) to start the song "It's Now or Never" off for him. She also did a wonderful job with that also, but the votes were already in by that time. Despite the great job Pamela did, she could not get enough people to come out and vote for her so she was eliminated. Pamela went back the next week which was "Praise & Worship" and "Holliday" theme. Pamela sang one of the songs she wrote called "I Want To Be Like Jesus" at the end of the compatition. *Posted on 12-01-09 at 08:36 pm*

Pamela wanted to be able to help another Christian organization, So she is going to be giving 10% of her free will offerings to the Stansberry Children's Home and Daycare Center in Santa Cruz, Bolivia SA. Her husband had been a volunteer there, and knows first hand what they do for the children. Pamela will have info about the organization on her product table and is working on a video presentation to work into her concerts.
