Please be praying for Pamela's daughter Brigette, her Husband Travis, and their son Liam who was born on Labor Day. Liam lacked oxygen during his development, he has clotting from his heart to his brain, and several parts of his brain are damage. The doctors have told them the best thing for them to do is take him home and care for him till he dies. They have him home with the help of Hospice. Will you take the time to pray that God would chose to do a miracle and heal Liam and let him live a long life? Not our will, But God’s be done. Blessings

Pamela Townsend sang her heart out for the Lord at the Rising Star Competition. She had made it through the first five round and was singing on the sixth round, which was Elvis Presley week. One could sing any song that Elvis sang in any genre. Pamela originally bought the track "Swing Down, Sweet Chariot" to do for the Elvis theme, but then thought of changing it to "Precious Lord Take my Hand" sung a cappella or with her guitar. She finale decided on "How Great Thou Art" with Sandi Patty's arrangement.
The judge that is the one holding the competition is also an Elvis impersonator and sang several Elvis songs. Pamela sang part of "O Sole Mio" (which is an Italian song that Elvis does in English) to start the song "It's Now or Never" off for him.
She also did a wonderful job with that also, but the votes were already in by that time. Despite the great job Pamela did, she could not get enough people to come out and vote for her so she was eliminated. Pamela went back the next week which was "Praise & Worship" and "Holliday" theme. Pamela sang one of the songs she wrote called "I Want To Be Like Jesus" at the end of the compatition.
